It’s finally here. Smash Mouth’s new album, Mercury Comet, is out today!

Mercury Comet marks a new chapter for Smash Mouth and the first full-length album of original music with Zach Goode on lead vocals. It brings together the sound people have known and loved from Smash Mouth for decades with a whole new batch of songs, ideas and energy.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve already heard some of the new music, including “Better Believer,” “Had Enuff” and “Monsters on My Block.” Now you can finally hear those songs as part of the complete album.

For me, getting to make a new Smash Mouth record has been a pretty incredible experience. Since joining the band in 2022, we’ve played shows all over the world and released new music along the way, but Mercury Comet feels like the biggest step yet. This isn't about trying to recreate the past. It's about keeping the things that make Smash Mouth sound like Smash Mouth while pushing the band somewhere new.

There’s plenty of the big melodies, hooks, humor and upbeat energy you’d expect, but there are also some surprises. Most importantly, it feels like a record made by a band that’s still excited about making new music.
